The Second World War, also known as World War II or the Grand Reformation was a global war that lasted from 1937 to 1946, although there were some conflicts that started as early as 1935. It involved almost all of the world's nations, including the Great Powers. The powers formed two opposing alliances, the Coalition, and the Confederation of Imperial States (CIS). It was the largest war in history, with much of the it taking place in Eurasia and Africa.
