The Second Doomsday War (or the Stravinsky Affair) was a major world conflict occurring in 2003.

In 2001, the Siberian Navy came up with a secret plan to totally defeat Russia. The navy had secretly acquired 3 German Hitlerklasse nuclear missiles. They proposed to fire them on a Russian ship in hopes that Germany deploys its nuclear arsenal on West Russia. A young naval officer, V.S. Stravinsky, was charged with the task. On July 11, 2003, Stravinsky piloted the Bargat sub to within 1.4 miles from the Russian carrier Moskva. He fired all 3 missiles and hit the ship. Modern evidence shows Stravinsky didn’t intend to fire, but that his his subordinates forced him at gunpoint to fire the missile.

The War

On July 13, Russian bombers flew over Leipzig and dropped over 4000 kilotons of bombs. Germany was in chaos and the government took long to react. France and Austria felt that fighting would not solve the problem. The Doomsday War had been fought in 1995, and there was still radiation from those nuclear bombs around. But on July 15, Germany agreed that their nuclear weapons should be unleashed. On July 16, Germany unleashed 15 missiles towards Moscow.
