The Central Committee, composed roughly of one hundred members, is elected by the Party Congress every year, and serve as the Russian equivalent to a western parliement. From its number are elected the Politburo, which take care of the day to day business. Members of the Politburo, including the General Secretary, may be demoted by the central committee and members of this committee may be demoted also by a majority vote of the Party Congress during an extra-ordinary session.
Delegates to the Party Congress are elected from regional committee the members of which are chosen from lower committees all the way to the local Cell.
An oversight commity exist in the form of the Workers and Peasants Inspection. The Inspectorate is made up of non-party citizens
[edit] Economy
Russia follows the economical precepts postulate by Lenin in his New Economic Policy (NEP). Farms, craftsman and small industry are allowed to function independently (usualy as co-operatives) in exchange from a tax and foreign companies are granted "concessions" based on competitive submissions. Large scale industry is regulated based on Central Planning.
