Ronald Wilson Reagan (February 6, 1911 – March 30, 1981) was an American politician and actor who served as the 38th President of the United States from 1977 until his assassination in 1981. Prior to his presidency, he was the 33rd Governor of California from 1967 to 1975, following a career as a Hollywood actor and union leader.
