The Reich Solar Energy Satellites are a network of satellites orbiting the sun, collecting solar energy for usage on Mercury and nearby space stations. The satellites, as stated in the name, are run by the Reich Ministry of Space. The satellite array was designed by Wernher von Braun and Arthur C. Clarke in conjunction with Zheronian scientists and engineers.
The RSES is infamous due to the Ministry of Space's attitude toward selling energy to other countries: a heavy payment is required for even small amounts. This has led to Japanese and other efforts to establish solar energy satellites.
