Just before the Great Deppression, Stalin changes the USSR econmy drastically, cutting all econmic ties with other countries and placing it on a war footing. This, combined with the birthrate laws (you must be married by the age of twenty and have three children by the time you are twenty-five) and the consription law (you must join the army when war breaks out unless you have medical problems or your job is vital to the Soviet Union) result in the USSR being vastly more powerful foe to face...
