Rays of the Rising Sun is a scenario in which the Empire of Japan and its collaborators are successful in the Second Sino-Japanese War, winning in 1945 (as well as other wars in East Asia). Japan also defeats the US and other enemies, though the Germans still lose in Europe.
Points of divergence
- The Chinese collaborationist forces are used better by the Japanese and are given more freedoms, making them appear better than the communists and nationalists. They play a big role in the Japanese victory.
- Yamamoto's decisive battle at Midway leaves the US Pacific Fleet crippled, forcing the US to the negotiations table.
- Collaborators of other countries are also given a greater role by the Japanese, encouraging more to join them and keep fighting.
