In 1912, Theodore Roosevelt wins the presidential election by a landslide. Becoming the first Progressive Party president. His vice president is Gifford Pinchot. As president he establishes a national income tax, the direct selection of senators, and the admission of New Mexico and Arizona as states. In 1913, the Mexican Revolution is brought to a stop by TR. In 1914, the Father of the Panama Canal opens the Canal. Later that year, TR has Congress declare war on the German Empire.
