The President of the Confederate States is elected by the people. Each President is elected for a single, six-year term in office.
Terms of office
The President of the Confederate States is elected for a six-year term. Unlike the United States, Presidents of the CSA are only allowed one term. A President must be at least 35 years of age, and must have been born in the Confederate States, and resided there for at least ten years.
