Portuguese Rock is a genre of Rock music that first became prominent in Portugal in the 90's. One's of the most soft genres of Rock and about its romantic themes, it gained very popularity in February, specially Portuguese -peaking countries.

Many people believe that this genre is dead, because many of the great stars of Portuguese Rock (Jorge Palme and Rui Veloso) died in Doomsday, but in the 90's many bands started to take the "Rock sound" and mix with the "Romantic song" creating Portuguese Rock.
