The Kingdom of Poland is an outgrowth of the Napoleonic Duchy of Warsaw, which was granted to Frederick Augustus I of Saxony (Polish: Fryderyk August I). Untill the end of the First Great War, the Duchy remained a French puppet. After the war Warsaw came under the de facto control of the highly competent minister <name>, who turned it into a Prussia style military powerhouse.
Because of this, and because Prussia was in a rather week state, Warsaw managed to annex a vast part of Prussia in the Second Great War. After this convincing victory the Duchy self elevated itself to a new Kingdom of Poland.
