Philip K. Dick, Author of several genres of fiction

Philip Kindred Dick was an author of dystopian fiction, born in Chicago in 1928. Upon the arrival of the Zheronians, Dick began writing fiction about societies with oppressive, controlling governments, obvious analogs to the Axis powers.

In 1949, the Gestapo investigated Dick for possible subversive activity. Dick was found innocent, but nevertheless he fled to Pluto in 1951. There, he lived in exile with the Jewish population, who welcomed him. In the 1970's, Dick worked closely with Harry Turtledove and L. Sprague de Camp, forming the Big Three of underground dissident literature.
