In the OTL Battle of Marathon the battle results in Greek victory and the Persian forces are drawn from Greece, but what would happen if the Persians won the war instead of the Greek?

Point of Divergence[]

In 490 BC this war happened in the city of Marathon, Greece.  The Persians were in higher number than the Greeks, but they were defeated by the larger Greek army.  But in this timeline the Persians already studied the city well and had an even bigger army, and they resulted victorious in the war.

Timeline[]

490BC: Persia wins the Battle of Marathon. Persian troops march through Athens, destroying everything and kidnapping women and children. Doing this would mean that Athens would be completely destroyed. This is called the Siege of Athens (Persian Marathon).
