The People's Republic of the Philippines was created in the height of the Cold War, when the Hukbalahap seized power with the support of the Soviet Union under Khrushchev, the People's Republic of China under Mao, and Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia under Marshal Tito.
The PRP maintains a one-state party government, and has the largest army in the South East Asia region. The current president is Corazon Aquino, late widow of assassinated martyr Benigno Aquino.
The PRP maintains bilateral relations with The USSR, China and most communist countries around the globe, with a special relationship between the Philippine and Yugoslav governments.
Since the Cold War, the Philippine economy has one of the highest economic growth in the region, surpassing its western neighbor Vietnam. Its policies were mostly mixed of Titoism, Maoism, and Stalinism.
