Patrick Radley Mead (born July 13, 1954) is an American politician who was the Governor of Huron from 2003 to 2007 and was the Nationalist nominee for President in the 2008 Presidential election, which he lost to Jay Leno. Prior to the Governorship, Mead was a US Representative from Huron from 1999-2003 and was the President of the Huron State Senate from 1995-1999, serving in the Huron State Senate from 1991-1999. He is a member of Huron's Mead family, a powerful Irish Catholic political dynasty of which he is the third member to serve as Governor (after uncle John and cousin Peter) and seventh to be involved in Huron state politics.
