Future Projects

In 2011, Alden turned down speculation that he was involved with the Jake McCoy prequel being planned at United Pictures with George Lucas's help, admitting that "I'm all McCoy'd out" and that he didn't want to make another Jake McCoy picture that didn't have Tom Selleck in it, especially after the negative reaction to his fourth entry into the series. Alden expressed interest in directing the Beyond sequel that is tentatively planned for a 2014 release date, but acknowledged that that was dependent on Crown Pictures asking him to return.
