The Omsk Rebellion was a Major civilian uprising in the occupied city of Omsk against the German occupation forces. Which resulted in the successful capture of the city, however high German casualties did not allow a permanent occupation of the city and German forces were forced to retreat.
1946 saw Soviet forces in a full retreat deep into Siberia after losing the Urals War, forcing them to set up their capital at Omsk. For months Russian troops, tanks, planes and military officials massed at Omsk preparing for a new offensive in the Urals.
