Norman Thomas was the 32nd President of the United States from 1957 to 1961. His term was regarded poorly due to his mishandling of the Cold War as well as rebellions in the former Confederacy. His term also led to the formation of the National Party, which would win in 1960 and end Thomas' first and only term.
