In this scenario the civil unrest in Northern Ireland, started in 1968, continues. The conflict escalates further out of control and the tension between both countries reaches breaking point. A crude Nuclear weapon is used by the IRA on central London and NATO gets involved.
In 1998 the Good Friday agreement is never signed and is refused due to in this timeline it is added to the agreement that a 50/50 power shared government in Northern Ireland. The Unionist Parties refuse and the Agreement is publicly destroyed. Outrage and Riots followed and a National Emergency was declared in Northern Ireland. The Violence rose to staggering levels and large scale terrorism on both sides occurred.
