Point of Divergence

OTL: In 1904-1905 Russian Empire was at war with Japan. Russia has suffered a series of defeats from Japanese. January 9, 1905 workers' demonstration led by Father Gapon marched to Winter Palace. Demonstrators demanded introduction of political and religious freedoms, eight-hour workday, convening parliament and adoption of constitution. Tsar's soldiers shot demonstration. This led to First Russian Revolution (1905-1907), which resulted in fall of Tsarist regime after February Revolution in Imperialist war and Russian Civil War (1917-1922). Also, Russia was forced to sign a humiliating Portsmouth peace treaty, give to Japan Liaodong, southern Manchuria and Korea in sphere of influence (also Japan annexed southern Sakhalin)

ATL: Russian Emperor Nicholas II meeting with Father Gapon and they agreed about reforms; Nikolas soon released January manifesto, in which he stated that his goal is to modernize and liberalize Russia, according to "Russian national spirit". Introduced a 10-hour workday (as in German Empire), all adult men received eligibility (right of choice given to nobles and passed property qualification), although the voice of different classes are valued differently. Also convene parliament (state Duma). Gapon also created National Reformist Party. With support of Tsar and secret police Sergei Zubatov, one of Gapon's companions, created Union of Factory and Rural Workers (workers who are fighting to improve his position purely peaceful means). Her ideology was monarchism, patriotism and a call for social change and improve standart of living. April 16, 1905 Russia and Japan signed Portsmouth peace treaty. Japan received in sphere of influence Korea, but Russia kept Sakhalin. Russians left Liaodong and southern Manchuria, but they are not part of Japanese sphere of influence. Also northern Manchuria remained in Russian sphere of influence

Russia before Imperialist war

In July 1905, began her work State Duma. More than half of 499 Duma deputies were members of National Reformist Party. Also had a big influence right parties- Januarists (supporters of January manifesto) and Black-Hundredists (radical anti-Semit nationalists). Leftist parties (SRs and Social Democrats) and liberals (Cadets) received less than a hundred places, but they were together with National Reformists on several issues. Because of this was carried out agrarian reform and provide farmers surplus earth; also was organized migration of peasants to city and in Turkestan and northern Manchuria to eliminate relocation. Agrarian riots fade. Adopted laws on social protection of workers and 9-hour workday; Grand Duchy of Finland was Finnish kingdom and given status equivalent to that of dominion. Was also expanded autonomy of Poland. Thanks to policies pursued by National Reformist and Prime Minister Stolypin, Russia's economy has developed rapidly (quiker than in OTL)
