Nintendo Entertainment Analysis and Development, more commonly known as Nintendo EAD, is Nintendo's largest division, with about 400 employees. It is considered the core of the company, and is responsible for the creation of some of its biggest games.

In 2004, Nintendo EAD underwent a major restructuring after Nintendo Research & Development members were assigned to the division, which led to the division's current form.


Software Development Group No. 1

This Group is responsible for Nintendogs and Mario Kart games. Its producer is Hideki Konno, who has directed or produced every Mario Kart game except for Super Circuit and Double Dash.
