Nicholas II of Opavia was son of Nicholas I of Opavia, illegitimite son of Bohemian king Premysl Otakar II. He was born in 1288 and succeded his father in 1318. He was duke under Conrad of Bolštejn and later Premysl Otakar III (son of his half-cousin). In 1327 he took Ratibor duchy by his wife Anne of Ratibor. He had only child and son Nicholas III of Opavia-Racibórz. He died in 1345 during 13 Years War in France.
