Newfoundland pound (Bicultural Newfoundland)

The Newfoundland pound (Vinnish: Vinlands króna) is the official currency of Newfoundland. It is subdivided into 100 pence (sing: penny, Vinnish: aurar, sing: eyrir). In English, the currency takes its name from the British Pound Sterling. In Vinnish, the currency takes its name from the Vinnish word for crown, similar to other Scandinavian countries.
