The Granadine People's Republic (Spanish: República Popular Granadina), commonly known as New Granada (Nueva Granada), is a nation located in South America. New Granada gained independence from Spain in 1819 as the Republic of Colombia (a country which included New Granada, Venezuela, and Panama). New Granada became a communist state in 1927.
