France, or formally The New French Republic (French: Nouvelle République Français), or known as The NFR, is a country in Western Europe between Spain to the southwest, Corsica to the southeast, Switzerland to the East, and The Netherlands to the northeast. It is considered to be the most left wing country in the world without a communist ideology. The ideals of the French Revolution have survived over 225 years and is the only country to be known for the Cult of Reason and the Cult of the Supreme Being as the belief system.
The French Revolution was among the first driving forces to create a country based on the ideas of the French Revolution. Many political factions came like the Jacobins, Girodins, Cordeliers, and Dantonists to name a few. However, amongst all of these groups was the most influential, most powerful, and well hidden groups of all, The Society of Gentlemen of Harmony and Utopia (French: Société de Messieurs D'harmonie et de L'utopie), or also known as the Society of Stones. This group controlled most of the actions carried out in the French Revolution. They were solely responsible for hypothesizing the officiation of France using the French Revolution's methods and beliefs and establish a society from it. Robespierre's ideals, however, were kept in memorium rather than die with Robespierre. His beliefs formed offshoots from the Society's own ideologies. When the Directory came to power, the Society prepared their phase two for the order. Among the phase two was partially based on the Revolutionary Wars that they were already causing. It involved various generals who were under influence of the order, including Napoleon Bonaparte. They plan to override the Directory through a coup of 18 Brumaire and make Napoleon as their figurehead with the Society as the collective head of state.
Corsican Independence and the European Revolutions of 1796-1798
Due to the mass amount of inspiration from the French Revolution, some European countries and territories overthrew their governments in lieu of republics that are based off of some of the principles of the French Revolution. This was known as the European Revolutions of 1800.
Before the French Revolution, Corsica was under the Republic of Genoa until by 1755, Pasquale Paoli, a member of the Society in the Geonese division, established the Corsican Republic until it was conquered by the Kingdom of France in 1769. By the time the French Revolution came, Corsican nationalism rose dramatically but not violently. A member of the Society of Stones in France, who was Corsican, proposed an independent Corsica under principles of the enlightenment as well as a few French Revolutionary principles. The Society agreed, and pushed for a vote for the establishment of the Cosican Republic. The vote was unanimous thanks to unprovoked efforts of the society who ordered a careful watch of who disapproved. Thus, the Republic of Corsica was established on March 26th, 1796. The Republic of Corsica became great allies with the New French Republic, despite the cultural differences. The Kingdom of Sardinia, which was south of the new republic, feared that they would fall "to those wretched, vile beasts that can create hell!" They prepared to invade Corsica without publicly announcing the declaration. The news spread to internal spies for the Society to report back about the planned declaration of war against Corsica. The Society responded by ordering General Bonaparte to invade Sardinia. While victorious in the Battles of Montenotte and Mondolvi, one final swift action was to be made after the Treaty of Paris was signed. On May 20th, five days after the Treaty, a coup d'etat overthrew King Victor Amadeus III and exiled him to the Italian mainland. They established the Republic of Sardinia under the principles of the Revolution and the Enlightenment. They joined the alliance with France and Corsica in the ensuing Wars. The Society was very pleased that each of the territories' "pillars are crumbling to collapse the entire building". The next target was Ireland. After failing an expedition in Ireland, the Society took over the position to strategize the full separation of Ireland from Great Britain to avoid the proposed Acts of Union. Members of the Society of Stones Irish Branch sent a request of the Society's Army of Harmony and Utopia (French: Armée d'harmonie et de L'utopie) to send troops in measures of beating the British. This led to the Irish Rebellion of 1798. They successfully defended Ireland and decisively won against the navy at the Battle of Tory Island. They won the Rebellion and a day later followed on what to do with the British. Plans came to freeing them to return them to Britain to executing them. The Society of Stones France arrived to the victorious Irish island and ordered not to kill them, knowing that they could provoke more trouble for Ireland. They then signed the Declaration of Free Irishmen which proclaimed the establishment of the Republic of Free Irishmen, following the principles of France, Corsica, and Sardinia. They made a strong military base in Ireland in case of an invasion caused by Great Britain. With that, they ceased in establishing republics until they were ready to fight against the remaining European nations.
