New English Independence Day (USNE)

New English Independence Day is celebrated on January 5th. That is the date that the Hartford Convention declared New England's secession from the United States of America. Because all of the nation is in the depths of winter at the time, NEI Day is known as the "Indoor Independence". Many people gather within community centers, convention centers,and school gymnasiums to celebrate it. Indoor parades are very popular. As are lavish dinners with dozens of guests. The prime minister will usual celebrate NEI Day in Hartford.
