While the German invasion yeided them all land east of the Mississippi, they had only truly conquered Massachusetts, southern New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia. Wide regions of the U.S. remained devoid of any real Nazi authority. As a result, many rebellions rose up over the decades. The New England Resistance was the most successful of these, stretching from the mouth of the St Lawrence to Toronto to Albany to the New Hampshire coast.
1949: Beginnings[]
On June 19th, 1949, a convoy of weapons and medicine was attacked by what appeared to be armed civilians. A German officer was shot and his family was kidnapped. Several Occupation Police headquarters were bombed, with various degrees of damage. And, in the greatest part of the plan, the speaker system throughout the entire city of Boston was hijacked, with a revolutionary speech broadcast throughout the entire city.
1955: The Last Great Push[]
After Rommel took personal control of the 3rd army, they began to revive their push northward. The 3rd and 4th Armies crossed the Hudson River on March 4th. Mortar and sniper attacks increased, but a series of victories was able to reduce defections.
