The Battle of Rajasthan was a battle between native Indian states and the Umayyad Caliphate in 730 AD. The battle was an Indian victory and Muslim influence was restricted to Sindh until the tenth century. However, one of the main reasons the Indians won the war was because the Umayyads were overconfident over their victory in Persia and the support of the powerful South Indian Chalyuka Empire. However, if the Chalyuka Empire did not support the Indian states threatened by the war because they felt that the threat was North Indian, Rajputana could fall to the Muslims, opening up a passage for earlier Muslim conquest in North India.
