Also sometime known as the Republican Calendar, the Modern Era Calendar is composed of 12 months of 30 days each in addition to 5 or 6 days added at the end of the year.

It was originaly used only in Republics but due to its popularity, it was eventualy adopted by most countries in the world with the old style or "gregorian" calendar being kept only for religious purposes.
