The Midlands are a man-made archipelago in the Atlantic Ocean. It was built in 1923 as a joint operation by the Castilians and the New English.
Originally built as a ocean research station, but grew into a vacation spot.
There are eight towns on the islands, and each have more than 3,000 people.
Today the permanent population of the islands is 27,883.
