The people of the westernmost breakaway of the Menguren empire were usually called Dadans or Sarmatians.

The eastern regions that eventually became the Central Horde were first conquered by Genghis Khan during the 1970's(1217+). After Genghis' death in 1980, Odegai Khan, his elected successor, had western expansion resumed in early 1987(1234), achieving the vassalage of Novogrod and Muscovy and intending to renew invasions of Rome and Sinica. However, with Odegai's death in 2011(1258) and the 40 years of civil war to follow, These designs were abandoned again by Odegai's successor Kubiai Khan.
