The history of the Massachusetts Minutemen football team includes its founding, bowl history, and five national championships (1983, 1986, 1988, 1995 and 2008), its 19 Northeastern Conference championships, and its 27 bowl victories. The Minutemen are widely regarded as one of the great powerhouse programs of the final quarter of the 20th century and the first decade of the 21st.

The Minutemen play their home games at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Amherst, Massachusetts, and are currently coached by Carlos "Charlie" Sheen.
