Born out of the Ashes of the ruined Russian Empire, this nation was offered a permanent alliance with the United states under the Harding administration which it readily accepted.

After the 1st World War the USA played a key role in helping Russia recover from WW1. Like Russia, the US entered the League of Nations as a permanent member hoping this would keep peace. Both parties helped become two of the largest powers in the world rivaling the European Socialist Union and the British Empire. While both parties escaped the worst of the 1929 recession, it left them weakened.
