Pedro I

Daughter of Francis II, Emperor of Austria. She married Prince Pedro in 1817, with whom he had a relationship described in his letters and by historians as "based on loyalty in companionship and, above all, in love."

Queen of Brazil since 1821, she did not reign for long. In 1826, she died due to a fever. Loved by the Brazilians, her tomb was built between 1826 and 1830 at the behest of the king.

Their relationship began the following year and and they married in 2001. Alice became queen after the abdication of King Raoni, her father-in-law in 2002.

She is one of the most popular Queens of presnt day, being known for her charity work in Africa and Asia.

Queen Alice is also known for her work as theoretical physicist and within the staff of the CAM.
