Line of succession[]
The line of succession is aganatic primogeniture. Females are only able to succeed if all males in the line are extinct. This has never occurred since the founding of the dynasty and only one woman succeeded in claiming the throne. However, the current Caliph, Hassan al-Wia has only one brother and only one daughter. If no male heirs are produced, Princess Sayyida could become the first Calipha in thousands of years.
