The Lieutenant-Governor of the Province of Guatemala is the Head of State of the U.C.C.A. Province of Guatemala. The lieutenant-governor is the head of the executive branch of Guatemala's provincial government and the commander-in-chief of the province's military and naval forces. The current lieutenant-governor is Justo Rufino Barrios who is the acting lieutenant-governor until the first election which will occur in 1870. Barrios was previously the President of Guatemala before the creation of the United Confederation of Central America, when he was sworn in as the 1st President of the United Confederation of Central America on April 8th, 1866.
