Lan Xang, officially the State of Lan Xang (Lao: ລ້ານຊ້າງ, Khmer: ឡានលានជាង), is a province of the Khmer Empire, located in Southeast Asia. It is located south of the Hmong State, west of Vietnam, north of Cambodia and east of North and South Thailand.
