Kug-Bau the Glorious was a Sumerian ruler who unified all of Sumeria and Mesopotamia into the Sumerian Empire, becoming its first Sarratum-kinu (Empress). Born in the lower classes, Kug-Bau was selected to become Queen of Sumer after she led the defense ot the city of Uruk against foreign invaders.
