Kingdom on the MountainTimeline: Days After Chaos
OTL equivalent: Central New Hampshire
The Kingdom on the Mountain is a major nation in New England and a Granite Pagan kingdom controlling several communities in central New Hampshire, reaching as far south as Laconia. The Kingdom on the Mountain is the largest Granite Pagan nation, tracing its origin to the legendary Bhirnard Dynasty who founded the kingdom around the holy city of Franconia, located on the base of the White Mountains. The Kingdom on the Mountain controls the Great Temple on the Mountain and the Great Stone Face, the two most important landmarks and sites of pilgrimage of the Granite faith, making it the most influential of the northern New Hampshire states.
Following the fall of the Bhirnard Dynasty, the nation would eventually fall under the control of the Kingdom of Winnipesaukee and the Moulton dynasty, who moved the capital of the nation south to Laconia, placing Franconia under the rule of the High Priest of the Great Temple, a vassal of the King on the Mountain.
