Timeline

John F. Kennedy is not assassinated in 1964; during his time in office, he is able to pass a slew of civil rights laws, including the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and others that ensured such rights as equal pay; civil unrest decreases under Kennedy's administration. Subsequently, Martin Luther King, Jr. is not assassinated in 1968, allowing him to live long enough to launch his own presidential campaign.
