Kenneth Gibson (born July 1, 1962) is an American politician is a Senator from Michigan, since 2007. He is the first African-American male to hold the office. He is a member of the Democratic party. He is a rumored as a short-list candidate for Vice President, if he were to be selected, he would be the second African-American to hold that office.
