Jim Folsom, Jr was the President of the Confederate States of America from 2010 to 2016. Folsom beat out the candidate of the ruling Independence Party, Newt Gingrich the party of Mike Huckabee and Robert J. Bentley. Folsom tried to end the adversarial relationship with the Soviet Union by receiving Premier Gennady Zyuganov in a state visit during the Confederate independence day celebrations in 2014.
Folsom had to deal with the Soviet-founded satellite states founded in the wake of the Fourth World War from Confederate territory, namely the Republic of New Afrika, lead by Louis Farrakhan, stretching from Charleston to Atlanta, the Republic of Northern Virginia, led by Mark Herring, the Republic of Florida, led by Bill McCollum, the Republic of Louisiana, led by Bobby Jindal.
