General elections were held in Japan on 4 April 1951. The result was a victory for the official list of Nationalist Party of Japan, which won 200 of the 453 seats. Voter turnout was 70.5%

This election was the first time where the Nationalist Party run multiple lists of candidates for election. The similar conditions will occurred more regularly in the next elections aftermath.
