The Hon. James Edward Caldwel (17 June 1842 - 7 September 1912) was the twentieth President-General of the United Provinces of America.
Caldwel was the fifth leader of the United Rationalist Party, which had formed in 1836, succeeding Martin Hammond, who stepped down due to ill health, in 1877.
