Andrew Jackson

Andrew Jackson

In this timeline, the POD is in 1824 when the House of Representatives is calling for the presidential vote. Clay is not invited over to John Quincy Adams' house for dinner, thus the "corrupt bargain" does not take place, and as a result the Democratic-Republican Party remains intact.
