The Istrian Revolt was a major conflict involving Venice and Croatia. Lasting from 1821-1824, the war mainly took place in Pula and resulted in the Venetian invasion of Croatia.

This war started because Venice wanted the region of Istria because there was the port of Pula, a then-important port for Croatia, but the Rebels repudiated any tentative of control by the Venetians.
