Ireland was part of Great Britain until after The Great War. During The World War, Ireland was funded and supported by the United States of America and successfully captured Wales, Cornwall and the Isle of Man from Great Britain.
Ireland remained an ally of the USA until The Spasm. While there is a certain detente with the Scandinavian Union, Ireland remains on tense diplomatic grounds with the Scandinavian Union and France. The official language is Gaelic (Irish) and all non-gaelic speakers in the nation are educated in the local language and Gaelic.
