Byzantine Emperor Heraclius converted to Islam, but he had difficulty converting nobility. Heraclius eventually gave up. However, what if he pressed on and proved to them that Islam was the truth? This would lead to an Islamic Rome. Realizing that a strongly monotheistic religion fit in with his Arian-esque beliefs, Heraclius converted to Islam, restraining Islamic hyperexpansionism.

- Zoroastrianism is still a major religion and is the main religion in Persia.
- Buddhism is the majority religion in India, Central Asia, North Asia, East Asia, Fusang (OTL Western Canada, Western USA, and Western Alaska), Mahamaru (OTL Australia), and Southeast Asia. It is the religion of almost all of Asia.
- Christianity is broken into even more schisms than OTL, with Catharism still existing. Christianity is only a major religion Europe and some parts of Dongjiang (OTL North America) and Antillia (OTL South America).
- Islam is also more broken than OTL. Most Scandinavians are Sufi, while most Greeks and Slavs are Greek Muslims. Shia Islam is only a major religion in the Arab Peninsula. Sunni Islam never existed.
