The Imperial Coat of Arms of Cygnia, or the Imperial Arms for short, is the official coat of arms of the Emperor of the Cygnians, currently Theodore V. These arms are used by the Emperor in his official capacity as Sovereign of the Empire. Variants of the Imperial Arms are used by other members of the Cygnian royal family, and by the Cygnian federal government in connection with the administration and government of the country.
In the coat of arms, the shield is a quarterly by six, depicting in the first quarter the black swan of Peel; in the second, the Imperial Crown and Southern Cross of Pilbara; in the third, the Maltese cross and crown of Kimberley; in the fourth, the piping shrike of Campbell; in the fifth, a lighthouse for the Capes; and in the sixth, a lion for Gascoyne. The crest is a statant guardant lion wearing the St Edward's Crown, himself on another representation of that crown. The dexter supporter is a red kangaroo; the sinister, an emu. Below the shield and supporters is the motto of the British House of Stuart, Semper Eadem (Ever the Same), which has descended to the present imeprial family as well as the Garter circlet which surrounds the shield, inscribed with the Order's motto, Honi soit qui mal y pense (Shame on he who thinks evil).
