The IIHF World Championship Division III are an annual sports event organised by the International Ice Hockey Federation. They are the lowest level of the IIHF World Championships.

In 2015, the IIHF had a maximum of 46 countries competing, but when the independence movement start to hit all around the world, the possible expansion of the IIHF would come. The first team that enter in the lowest division was Scotland in 2016 which competed in a qualifier with the United Arab Emirates and Bosnia and Herzegovina to go through to Division III, Bosnia and Herzegovina would qualify through to the main tournament and they would take home the one win against Hong Kong to get the team through to the next year while Turkey would win the division.
